An original Apple Lisa 1 goes to auction in 2025
The Apple 1 computer (board) of 1976 is the most valuable personal computer collectible there is. One just sold for an incredible $375,000.00! Even though that is a lot of money, it isn’t even half of what the highest price ever paid for one was. That would be a staggering $905,000.00 in October 2014 for one sold in a Bonham’s auction. It was a bit of an outlier though, as it was purchased by The Henry Ford museum, and they must have really, really wanted one!
The Apple Lisa 1 from 1983 is the second most valuable personal computer collectible. With the close of the recently concluded, mostly Apple-centric auction at RR Auctions, I have updated my researched list of Lisa 1 auctions. I can currently only find records going back to November 2017, with one I learned about in some articles about one "listed" on eBay in 2018. They report it sold for $65,000, but no other information is included. Unfortunately, unless you run an eBay store, or subscribe to WorthPoint, you cannot see records of sales after 90 days.
